How certain is the approval?
While there is no legal entitlement, if the criteria (SME in Bavaria, >€4,000) are met and the application is submitted exactly as required BEFORE the project starts, it is generally approved. Important: Only the share for process digitalization (e.g. automation, portals) is funded, not pure design.
The path to funding in 4 simple steps
1. Configuration & Feasibility Check
You configure the modules. We check the technical feasibility and create an architecture sketch as well as the eligible proposal incl. technical project description.
2. Application (ELSTER)
You log into the ELSTER account and submit the technical project description we created via copy-paste. Duration: approx. 10 minutes.
3. Official System Deployment
As soon as the electronic confirmation of receipt from the government is received, we officially begin development and implementation.
4. Payout of the Grant
After the system goes live, we submit the proof of use. The government transfers the funding amount directly to the company account.
The 4 Criteria for Eligibility
1. SME in Bavaria
Your company has a branch in Bavaria, fewer than 50 employees, and max €10M annual revenue.
2. IT Security & Processes
Funded are B2B customer portals, automations, and cybersecurity. (Pure 'marketing websites' are excluded).
3. Minimum Volume €4,000
The investment volume for the system deployment must be at least €4,000 net.
4. Observe Timing Rules
The application MUST be submitted via the ELSTER account before signing the contract and starting the project.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I have to pay the grant back later?
No. The Digitalbonus is a 'non-repayable grant' (subsidy). When the project is completed, the money belongs to the company.
What does 'Turnkey Funding Service' mean?
We prepare the complete technical architecture sketch and the project description for the government. You just have to copy-paste it into ELSTER.
Why are template websites often rejected?
The state doesn't fund standard marketing software. Because we program custom cloud systems (Astro/Next.js), it counts as a profound improvement of business processes.
